Sunday ‐‐ Three‐person Multi‐age Club Relays ‐‐ Classic Technique
Please note: a Para‐Nordic and/or Special Olympics relay will be held on the 1‐km loop at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. Composition of teams (e.g., 2 or 3 skier teams) in the 9:00 a.m. event can be refined to maximize participation. There will also be some flexibility for para‐nordic skiers (especially Standing) to enter the 10:00 a.m. event. Cost for the Para‐Nordic relays will be $12 per 3‐person team or $4 per individual.
Event for three‐person Multi‐age Club Relays will start at 10:00 a.m.
Medals awarded to these Events: Mixed (at least one female), Male, and Female. ($28 entry fee per team includes: $4 for the first skier on each team; $9 for the second skier and $15 for the third skier)
Each team will consist of the following combination of age groups skiing the specified distance(s): One skier from Jackrabbit A or B or Mini‐Midget, completing 1.0 km they will tag off to a Midget or Juvenile skier, who will complete a 3‐km leg the final member of the team will be a Junior Boy/Girl, Junior Man/Woman, Senior Man/Woman, or Masters skier, who will complete a 6‐km leg

Trail maps will be posted to the Temiskaming Nordic Website REGISTRATION: Registration will be handled exclusively online with Zone4. Entries must be submitted by midnight EST, Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Entries after this date will not be accepted. Please note waiver requirements, as detailed at bottom of this page. Confirmation lists will be posted at Zone4
Cancellation: Any changes will be posted as early as known at emiskaming Nordic Website. Porcupine Ski Runners is acting as back-up site in the event f inadequate snow cover at Temiskaming Nordic. Bib replacement fee of $60 for each competitor who does not return bibs.
AWARDS: Results will be posted outside the race office. They will also be available online at www.zone4.ca Awards will be based on unofficial results so they can be presented as soon as possible. Saturday awards presented at banquet, Dymond Hall. Sunday awards presented as soon as possible after the races finish at the chalet. FACILITIES: Waxing areas will be available in heated garage at Temiskaming Nordic. Men’s and women’s change rooms will be available in the chalet. The kitchen will serve food and drinks on Saturday and Sunday. Temiskaming Nordic’s chalet includes indoor toilets and potable drinking water. Indoor washrooms will be supplemented with outdoor facilities (port-a-potties). Tents will also be provided for additional shelter. MEDICAL FACILITES: Emergency Medical Services will be available on site. The Temiskaming Hospital is a 15-minute drive from the Temiskaming Nordic Ski Club.
WAIVER: All race participants without Cross Country Canada Race Licenses must fill out the Event Waiver (Printable version located HERE. The completed waivers for all non-licensed racers must be faxed to 705-672-3325 by noon on Thursday, March 25.
RACE HOTELS: All teams booking must state that they will be participating in the races at the Temiskaming Nordic Ski Club. Saturday night banquet will be at Dymond Community Hall, which is just north of New Liskeard, along the Highway 11 Commercial Strip Lodging options are in order by relative proximity to Banquet site – first two are significantly closer (a few blocks), last three are all about a 15 minute drive from the Banquet site. First four choices are all about a 15-minute drive to the Ski Club, whereas number 5 is closer to the club (about 5 to 7-minutes away from the club).
1-Econo Lodge booked 14 rooms doubles @ 90.00 smoking, and another 6 doubles non-smoking no cots and will hold until Feb 20th only. No microwave, only fridges. Also has available 1 single upgrade room @ 133.00 (king size bed) will suit 2 people (not held). Contact Sean Mackey 705-647- 7357

3-Haileybury Beach Motel has available 5 singles (1 double bed and a sofa bed in each) @75.00, and 6 doubles (2 double beds in each room with 4 rooms having an extra bed) @ 85.00. Cannot block these rooms, you need to give them a credit card to book. Contact 705-672 - 3354 4-Northern Shores Cottages and Motel (Formerly Glen Aura Cottages) has blocked all she has until March 1 2010. 2 cottages with 2 double beds, 2 cottages with one queen and one twin, 2 cottages with a double and a twin. Five have kitchenettes (fridge, dishes, mw), and the 6th has a mw and fridge. Rates are according to number of people: 1 person: 68.00 + tax, 2 people: 73.00 + tax and 3 people 81.00 + tax. 5-Marsh Bay Tourist Resort has available 2 cottages, each of which will sleep 6 people. Each cottage is fully equipped with microwave, etc. Cost is $160 per night per cabin. Cost per cabin would be reduced if three or fewer people were staying in one cabin. Contact Jim at 705-679-8810
